Aged Care Employee Day, with its theme of #ThanksforCaring is an initiative (originating with Leading Aged Services Australia) that Family Based Care Tasmania can get on board with!

We want to recognise all our team members involved in caring for the nearly 1.5 million older Australians receiving in home (or residential) services.

At Family Based Care Tasmania our team includes direct care workers, allied health professionals, administration staff, coordinators, field service officers, volunteers, the management team, training officers, quality managers, human resources personnel, specialist supports, and many, many others. We aim to provide the best care we can for our older Australians.

supporting you at home to do the things you can and helping you with the things you can’t manage on your own.

Wellness

Wellness emphasises identifying needs, aspirations and goals. It acknowledges and builds on strengths and has a focus on integrating support services as a path to greater independence and quality of life.

Reablement

Reablement emphasises assisting people to regain functional capacity and improve independence. Similar to rehabilitation, it is goal-oriented and aims at full recovery where possible – it seeks to enable people to live their lives to the fullest.
